Missy Riley has been with SPS for 25 years and is currently the Director of Early Childhood and Parents as Teachers. Throughout her time in education she has experienced countless memories that she will cherish, but some of the most memorable is the feeling of pride she’d feel when a bond is passed. “I remember where I was and how good it felt to know that our community was willing to invest in the education of Springfield’s students.”
When asked what advice she would like to share with educators she said, “Please try to recognize every day what an honor it is to be an educator. The work/life balance, the intrinsic rewards and the privilege to work with children makes education the best profession out there. Love people every day, because it is the people that make our job great.”
