As an SPS employee for 21 years, Glenda Thurlkill has been able to experience countless memories with her students. One special memory occurred this school year. Her 5th grade Title I Math Contest team won the 1st Place Team Event Trophy at the SPS Title I Math Contest. “This was a great accomplishment for our kids.” Another special experience was having the privilege of being the first SPS teacher to serve as Missouri State Teachers Association President in over 30 years.
Glenda will miss her colleagues and students when she retires, but wanted to share a few words with other educators before she goes. “My advice to those still working would be to remember they are making a difference in the lives of kids every day!”
