After 28 years with SPS, the curtains are coming to a close for Hillcrest High School’s speech and drama teacher Mark Gideon. His favorite memory from his time with SPS is when he had the opportunity to speak to the entire district at the beginning of the year convocation where he spoke about “because I teach every day, miracles evolve.” He’ll miss the sense of family he was with the teachers, administrators, and staff he works with. He encourages his colleagues to enjoy the moments in your teaching whether they are good or bad. “Nothing lasts forever and it can all be gone in the blink of an eye.”
