Kim Garrison joined the FSPS Board of Directors in September 2021! Kim is a Senior Vice President- Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management! She is currently a member of Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast, on the investment advisory board for the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and is an active member for the Brain Injury Association of Missouri!
Her and her husband enjoy golf, lake time with friends and family and frequenting some #417Land classics like Metropolitan Grill, Galloway Grill and Nicolas!
Tell us why you decided to join the FSPS Board of Directors?
I was approached by Susan McNeal last year to potentially serve on the Board. I respect Susan so much and she has been a part of my life for many, many years. In fact, she was my son’s Parents as Teachers advocate before he was in kindergarten. I of course knew if she was heavily involved, that it must be a fantastic organization. With that said, my son attended SPS from kindergarten and graduated from Glendale. Our experience was great.
What is something you are looking forward to as you serve on the FSPS Board?
I look forward to participating and providing grants to so many well deserved people within the SPS community. I also look forward to seeing the dollars at work in our schools. So many programs depend on the support from our community and our board members as well.
Why do you think it is important for the community to support the FSPS and Springfield Public Schools?
It is important to support our public schools. So many programs are paramount when providing not only education to our students but social experiences that many students may never experience if not for the support of our community.
