“Back to School Grant Delivery Day is our most exciting day of the year!” according to Natalie Murdock, Executive Director of the Foundation for SPS. Volunteers will gather at 8:30 a.m. at the Foundation office on Boonville to receive their assignments for surprise, grant check deliveries to teachers in their classrooms. A big check presentation will be made to Springfield Public Schools District leaders and then volunteers will fan out across Springfield to make the award presentations.
“I love being part of this positive day,” said volunteer Amy Bunselmeyer, board member and SPS graduate. “Being able to show support for education, and seeing the smiles on our teachers and students faces is very gratifying.”
