Marilyn Sweet is an occupational therapist and has been with the district for 20 years. Throughout her time she has experienced several great memories but one that is the best is when students with poor visual attention and behaviors finally can participate in activities with enthusiasm. When asked what she will miss most about working in SPS Marilyn said, “The friendships with colleagues and when the student’s recognize me and say my name because I’m not there 100% of the time; as OT’s we come and go from each location.”
Some advice that she wants to share with educators is, “don’t stay past the time of your positive influence! Retire before you get too cranky!”
Thank you for sharing with us Marilyn! Happy retirement!
