From the classroom to the farm! 🏫🌱

SPS Health Sciences Academy students took their food and nutrition unit on the road for a visit to the Ozarks Food Harvest garden! They got a truly hands-on lesson, harvesting an incredible 330 pounds of sweet potatoes to help combat food insecurity in our community! 🍠💪

This is what powerful community collaboration looks like! 🤝 When partners like Ozarks Food Harvest and Springfield Public Schools come together, our students get amazing, real-world learning experiences.

This project is community support in action 🤝, with a powerful double impact! 🧡

🧑‍🎓 Students in the Hillcrest HS Transitions class—a program that helps students with special needs build essential skills for life after graduation—are assembling Thanksgiving baskets for families in need.

This hands-on project provides a warm holiday meal 🥧🦃 for their neighbors AND gives the students vital experience with organizing, teamwork, and community service. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑📚

The deadline is fast approaching! 🗓️ Help them reach their $2,500 goal 💰 by November 1st to support this incredible student-led effort. 🙏
