Our board member spotlight for March is Danielle Kincaid. Danielle recently opened her own law firm, The Elder Law Group. She is an attorney who focuses on estate planning and is trained and experienced with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives or living wills, and intricacies of estate and long-term care planning. She has served on our board of directors since 2018.

When asked why she joined the Foundation for SPS she said, “I joined to make a positive difference in the lives of students and educators at SPS. Although I do not have children of my own, I believe it is important for our community to support our students who, ultimately, are our future community leaders, our future workforce, and the future parents to the next generation of students. As a business owner, I want to ensure our students are given the necessary skills to enter and succeed in the workforce, whether that entry is immediately after graduation or after post-high school education such as a trade school or college. The Foundation for SPS helps to ensure that our schools and educators have all the necessary tools to provide an excellent education to SPS students and prepare those students for the future.”

Danielle has served on our scholarship committee and has found that reading student essays is a way to connect with students served by the Foundation. “We get to connect with SPS students by reading their essays and learning about their past and current struggles, their future dreams, and their post-graduation plans.”
