Betty Lee Dunham Scholarship

Central High School

 

Betty Lee Dunham served Springfield Public Schools for 34 years.  She taught English and Art at Parkview High School, served as a counselor at Cherokee Middle School and Hillcrest High School, and served as assistant principal at both Parkview and Central High Schools.  She was an encourager to always “keep looking up.”

 

In order to apply for the Betty Lee Dunham Scholarship you must answer yes to the following questions:

1. Are you a senior at Central High School?
2. Do you plan to major in a field where they will serve and encourage others (i.e. teaching,
ministry, guidance & counseling, medicine, therapy, etc.).
*Please note that scholastic ranking, good citizenship, leadership, personality, integrity, dependability,
initiative, perseverance, seriousness of purpose and financial need will be considered and should be
addressed in your essay.

If you answered no to any of these questions you are not eligible for this scholarship. If you answered
yes to each question you may proceed to the application.
