Because of our generous donors, every student at Fremont Elementary – Home of the Falcons starts their week with a front-row seat to their own community! 🎥✨

When the aspiring journalists behind the Fremont News Broadcast struggled with aging cameras and fuzzy audio, you stepped in. These students now have high-definition 5K cameras and professional mics that have turned a classroom project into a school-wide phenomenon! 🎙️📺

Your support reaches over 400 students from Pre-K through 5th grade every single week. From learning "fun facts" to spotlighting school events, this broadcast is building a stronger, more informed student body. 🌟

More importantly, you’ve given the 5th-grade Media Team a voice and a future. These young broadcasters are already dreaming of careers in media, all because you provided the tools they needed to succeed. 🎤🚀

Your investment didn’t just buy equipment—it empowered a new generation of storytellers. Thank you for making this possible! 👏❤️

✨ Want to help more students find their voice? You can make an impact today by supporting projects like this at www.supportsps.org/donate.

The Foundation for SPS is thrilled to announce the nominees for the 2026 Turner Reading Teacher of the Year Award! 🏆📚

Established by the Turner family, this prestigious award recognizes educators who demonstrate exceptional excellence in reading instruction. These teachers do more than teach skills—they ignite a lifelong love of reading! 🔥📖

Please join us in celebrating our 2026 Nominees:

🌟 Alison Crane, Carver Middle School

"When students begin to see reading as a tool for thinking rather than a task to complete, their engagement and self-belief grow in transformative ways."

🌟 Shayla Harris, Boyd Elementary – Reading Interventionist

"When students feel represented and validated through the stories they read, their confidence and comprehension grow, and they begin to view literacy as a lifelong source of joy."

🌟 Dawn Lindsay, York Elementary – 4th Grade

"My goal is to ensure no student has to wait until adulthood to develop the essential strategies they need to read with purpose and confidence."

📅 Join the Celebration! We will announce the winner at the Celebrate SPS Banquet on Wednesday, April 29th. Help us honor our incredible SPS family by buying tickets or becoming a School Table Sponsor!
