Devon Roberson Memorial Scholarship

Devon Roberson Memorial Scholarship

Parkview High School

The Devon Roberson Memorial Viking Singer Scholarship started as a way to give back to our community and to remember our brother’s name and legacy. All three of us graduated from Parkview between 2005 and 2008 and were all involved in different clubs and activities. Devon played football and ran track and while he wasn’t in the music department himself, he was a huge fan of all kinds of music and a huge supporter of our group, The Brothers Roberson. When we won the Country Music Showdown in 2015 the grand prize was $100,000! We knew that some of that money had to go back into the community that we came from. Devon had passed in 2013 and it was a no-brainer. A scholarship for a music student at our alma mater, funded by a music performance, in the name of the greatest music fan we ever knew. It brings us joy every year to keep being involved with Parkview and supporting musicians in our community.  -Rhett and Brendan
