Parkview Cheerleading is raising funds to purchase a full cheerleading floor. This investment will create equity within our school, promote safety for our athletes, and provide the proper resources for our team to train and prepare for state-level competitions. Your support will directly help our cheerleaders reach their full potential while staying safe and supported.
- Need Represented: There is a need to have a safe space for Parkview Cheerleading to stunt. Without the full mat, we are not able to provide the access to a safe and supported environment for a competition cheerleading team.
- Academic Impact: Cheerleading mats will have a direct and positive impact on our student-athletes. Right now, our cheerleaders practice without the proper flooring, which increases the risk of injury and limits the skills they can safely perform. By providing mats, we create a safe and supportive environment where athletes can practice tumbling, stunts, and routines with confidence.
These mats also promote equity—giving our cheerleaders the same opportunities as other schools with proper equipment. With the right resources, our athletes can push their abilities, prepare for state competitions, and proudly represent Parkview at the highest level.
Most importantly, the mats invest in our students’ well-being, allowing them to train safely while building teamwork, leadership, and school spirit. They’ll walk away with more than cheer skills—they’ll gain confidence, resilience, and lifelong memories. - Student Population: Parkview High School in Springfield, Missouri, serves approximately 1,274 students in grades 9–12 and reflects the diversity of the surrounding community. About 36% of the student body identifies as part of a minority group, with demographics including 64% White, 13% Hispanic, 10% African American, 3% Asian, and smaller percentages of Pacific Islander, American Indian, and multiracial students. Enrollment is well-distributed across grade levels, and the school maintains a student-teacher ratio of roughly 14:1, allowing for meaningful connections and support. This diverse and engaged student population represents a wide range of backgrounds, strengths, and needs, positioning Parkview as both a vibrant learning environment and a vital resource within Springfield.
