Pamela Petr, a visual arts educator, has taught at Disney Elementary for 29 years and will be retiring at the end of the school year. She’s loved watching the creativity of students as they create their masterpieces and getting to share their artwork with others in the community.
“One of my favorite memories is when a kindergartner called me Mrs. van Gogh! I will never forget that memory or the time a special little girl told me that she really enjoyed spending time with me that day. I will miss the hugs and looks on their faces when they really enjoyed a project.”
We asked her what advice she would like to share with other educators and she said. “enjoy each child and the sweet memories you make together because it might just be one of their best memories of their education too.”
Congratulations Pamela on your retirement and we wish you the absolute best!
