Kathy has been with the District for 16 years and for nearly 15 years she has been stationed right outside the office door of the Springfield superintendent. The executive office liaison reported directly to Norm Ridder until he retired in mid-2014 and then to John Jungmann.
Kathy has spent the past decade serving as secretary to the Board of Education for the state’s largest district. She will retire from both pivotal positions effective June 30, 2021.
“I’ve felt very fortunate to be in this role and I tell people all the time how lucky I have been to serve in the community in the role of board secretary. I believe public education is extremely important and I’ve been fortunate to work with some extraordinary people that care a lot about the community.”
She will miss her co-workers and watching the recognitions at Board meetings. “The student and teacher recognitions at Board meetings are always uplifting and heartwarming.”
