Preschool students thrive with manipulatives and sensory play. I have had light table toys and manipulatives donated but still need a light table. We are in an intervention site with 67% of our students on free/reduced lunch. A sensory light table center would enrich their development and learning experiences in the classroom.
- Academic Impact: Encourage sensory play and manipulation for fine motor skills and spatial development and basic phonemic learning. The toys utilized that are already purchased include transparent 3D shapes with items inside, colored magnetic shapes for building/sorting, and letters for practicing recognition and word construction.
