Pick-A-Project: Turn Your Classroom Idea Into Impact
Have an idea that could make a difference for your students? Pick-A-Project gives Springfield Public Schools educators an opportunity to bring classroom ideas to life through community support.
Submit a project that will provide your students with new resources, hands-on learning experiences, technology, or other meaningful opportunities. Below, you’ll find examples of projects SPS educators have submitted to inspire your own ideas.

Pick-a-Project Guidelines
Eligibility: Only Springfield Public Schools employees may apply.
Project Requirements: Projects must align with SPS guidelines and procedures.
Approval: Applicants must obtain approval from their principal and/or department head before applying.
Crowdfunding: Applicants must review the SPS Crowdfunding Procedures and complete the Crowdfunding Request Form. The approved form must be uploaded with the Pick-a-Project application.
Fundraising Goal: Applicants must outline specific fundraising goals and provide a plan for using funds if the project is not fully funded.
Campaign Deadline: Applicants select their project end date and may request an extension by contacting Lori Finke at the Foundation for SPS.
Purchases: All project purchases must be made in coordination with your school’s/department’s financial secretary, using district-approved vendors.
100% of Donations: Every dollar donated goes directly to the project.
Tax Deductible: Donations to Pick-a-Project are tax deductible, and donors receive a receipt from the Foundation for SPS.
