Increase Learning with a High Tunnel at AgAcademy

Increase Learning with a High Tunnel at AgAcademy

  • Description:

Help Us Extend the Learning Season at AgAcademy!

At AgAcademy, we believe in the power of agriculture to transform the way students learn. By engaging with the Missouri Learning Standards through the lens of agriculture, our students gain real-world knowledge that ties into subjects like plant and animal sciences, farm-to-table practices, and agricultural entrepreneurship.

One of the challenges we face, however, is the limitation of the traditional agrarian calendar. With the addition of a high tunnel on our campus, we can extend the growing season into the fall and winter, providing our students with more time to learn and grow.

The high tunnel will allow students to continue their agricultural work throughout the year, giving them hands-on experience in year-round farming and increasing their understanding of the cycles of nature. This project will not only help our students stay engaged with agriculture during the colder months but will also enhance their learning across various subjects.

Your support can make a difference!

By contributing to the funding of this high tunnel installation, you’re helping to create a year-round educational experience for our students. Any donation, large or small, will be greatly appreciated and will directly impact the educational opportunities available to these future leaders in agriculture.

Together, we can grow the future. Thank you for your support!

  • Need Represented: This project is essential to meeting the needs of our students and the community. By completing the high tunnel, we’ll extend the growing season, providing students with year-round opportunities to deepen their agricultural knowledge, develop leadership skills, and engage in hands-on learning. This will significantly increase their learning opportunities, allowing them to apply their lessons in real-world settings throughout the fall and winter. Additionally, the high tunnel will enable us to engage the local community by offering educational opportunities for families to learn the importance of growing their own food, fostering a love for agriculture, and promoting sustainable practices. This project will not only enhance student learning but also strengthen our connection to the community.
