Each morning we start the day working on fine motor activities to strengthen our hands for better grip for writing. By using various activities we also work on math, literacy, and creativity at this time.
- Need Represented: Fine motor skills are necessary for helping to write correctly (strong grip, correct grip, etc.). Working these muscles daily will help strengthen them for better writing, with an added benefit of practicing other Pre-K skills such as literacy, math, and creativity at the same time.
- Academic Impact: This will impact students through their repeated, daily practice of fine motor, as well as additional practice in math, literacy, and creativity.
- Student Population: Wonder Years student are aged 4-5, with a variety of races and socio economic levels.
