- Description:
Lots of learning in kindergarten happens on our carpet space. The carpet is a spot where we can all gather to read stories, play games, and learn new skills. I would love to have a rug with set spaces for each child to sit and learn. This rug would offer spaces for 30 kids so it would allow for us to spread out. It also has colored rows that support our transitions coming to and from the carpet.
- Need Represented: This project will support my classroom management by creating a space where we can come together and learn.
- Academic Impact: This project will support our daily routine and learning. When students have a set space on the carpet, they are comfortable and better able to practice their whole body listening. This will directly impact their listening and help students focus and build new academic skills.
- Student Population: We have 18 eager learners in our classroom this year! My students are 5 and 6 years old and are curious and excited to learn about the world around us.
